The NES version of Target: Renegade was done by Software Creations, makers of such non-classics as Terminator 2 (NES), Silver Surfer (NES), and other games that have ended up on AVGN’s chopping block.
Super Dodge Ball FTW!!!
@XinKotetsu Indeed!
Love your avatar BTW!
Without this game kids these days wouldn’t have their God of War, Devil May Cry, or Ninja Gaiden Sigmas.
Lol in renegade in the train section there’s a swastika
I loved Viewtiful Joe which was a newer game that had beat-em-up elements with puzzle solving as well but yeah, it’s rare to find beat-em-ups these days.
The only changes made to Renegade and Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun are the 1st Stage graphic itself, the character sprites from Stages 1-3, the main character sprite, the bosses voice clips, and the skin color of the ice pick guys at the 4th stage. Every thing else is the same, to the point that each game has the exact same last boss.
So really, you could just say that as you progress through the game, the changes get less and less drastic.
Thank you Kunio-kun. Thank you for making the Scott Pilgrim game possible.
You guys should watch Ashes review of Renegade 1, 2 and 3 =D
BlaZer91: Interesting.
@daveKoRnfan
Most of the games are sports game spinoffs anyway.
@Zepthire I finally saw that yesterday, i was made up when i saw the references
@TanukiKGA
Don’t blame the game for your inability to play it.
Thanks for reposting this Larry! This was one of my favorite videos you posted.
Thanks Larry for introducing Kunio-kun to me.
the spectrum version was great ,the 10ps i saved buying this game KICK IM WHEN HES DOWN YA SLAG
wow 54 games thats more sequels than the friday the 13th series XD
The Nes-version WAS rubbish. It had some rocking tunes here and there, but it.. it just wasnt very fun to play.
Funny how Scott Pilgrim makes references to both River City Ransom and Crash and the Boys.
