@simond10 Indeed, I must admit that I only played with a pad, but I enjoy oversteering, it’s an arcade game after all, not a sim.
It’s a shame it doesn’t have force feedback though (or did it?) the XBLA version will have it!
To anyone that disliked the dreamcast version, you should have played it on a steering wheel. it was better than the arcade version with one.
Now all i need id an xbla port of SEGA RALLY, im tallking about the 1994 AMD version, do an episode about it Larry !

News just in Larry, SEGA have announced that this is coming to Live and PSN on Oct 26th for USA and during some point in November for us mate. Looks like some of us got our wish.

this game was awsome in the arcades and me and a freind got hooked on the big ass 2 player cabinet at the local megabowl! we spent a hell of a lot of money on it over a few months but we mastered it and we had the top 2 times on the expert track using manual gears xD
I remember playing this game at Dave and Buster’s (they probably don’t have those where you live) and couldn’t help but notice that Sonic the Hedgehogs face carved in the mountain.

@7Zealot It is, as it was an absolute bitch for me to record the footage for it. Sega Re-released Daytona last year as “Sega Racing Classic” (In widescreen and HD, but aside from that, it’s the exact same game) So it looks a bit ropey by today’s standards.
Are you SURE that’s the arcade version?! I really remember it looking better than that!
I guess this is a good example of “the younger you were when you played a game, the better it was” or something…:P But it’s still an awesome experience to play, even today.

I remember going into a Nascar Cafe in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, and they had 8 of these suckers set up with an actual championship in house for the winner of the races. This was a great arcade racer for its time and still is today.

My favourite arcade racing game.I dread the day it gets taken out of my local arcade as it is brilliant.
Extra fun when you play against 4 or 8 people. It was a bit expensive to play when it was new 1quid for one game!
