Other than the level lay outs I found both the home console and this arcade versions to be very similar. I wish Revenge Of Death Adder was ported to the Genesis Golden Axe 2 and 3 were great but RODA was really good and one of the top 10 arcade games of all time.

@Ressurrector lol When I played on 2 players with my cousin I was like you stay either at the top or bottom of the screen and I’ll do the opposite of what you pick. And only help me if I’m getting double team.

Both the appearance and destruction of Death Adder were pretty impressive, I might say.
friendly fire and a badass soundtrack are what made golden axe and battletoads my favorite arcade games.
IMO playing this game with 2 players only makes it harder. I can play the AI like a fool when its just me and have many times won the game with just one life when its just me.
I can’t believe I watched this from start to finish, it’s so hypnotizing. I loved this game but i remember I never finished it due to being a poor kid and Death Adder being so cheap.
it does but the arcade verison of this aint on there if it was that would of been bad ass yo but golden axe is still the shit man i wish they would make games like this still

God this was an awesome game. Does anyone know if they’ve released a collection of all these good beat -em up arcade games for any of the new platforms? I’m kinda behind on the times.

Thats what the sega version was missing. Better sound effects and enemies with speed ratings that actually showed in their attack rates.
