Is it just me or does anyone else find these books a bit creepy when the author describes children having sex with adults,and a girl of ten being threatend that she will be tied up naked and raped,i could not read anymore after that
@AndrewJPowell Stannis is a very pragmatic man . He does hate the Lannisters for the corruption he sees in them.Even though he is not a friend of Ned Stark (he clearly states so) he does respects Ned Stark for he sees an honorable , brave and righteous man in him. He also praised the Robb’s bravery in several ocations and he would have prefer having him as an ally than to fight him . In truth maybe the worst mistake Robb did was taking the name of King of the North.aside from westerling that is

@Zippy262 He hates Rob for claiming to be King of the North, Stannis wants the Iron Throne and the 7 kingdoms. He might of had some respect for Eddard but in Clash of Kings.. he only talks ill about them.

thank you hbo for making this show…after watching game of thrones i went out and brought all the books to date..and had my mind blown open..what rock was i under that i didnt know sooner about these books?..i live in N.ireland where some of the show was filmed…does any one know if they are going to make the rest of the series here and how would i be able to get a part in it

@svoba4af yep Westeros sure is a confusing place….
@TheVasilcin Yop, it seems that the Starks are very unusual in Westeros and I hope that at least some of them will be healthy, sane and alive in the end although GRRM is such a dick. Jaime, on the other hand, is more typical Martin´s character – he´s despised for the only good thing he´s ever done and tries to deal with things honestly but not when his honor would probably kill him. The same with Sandor Clegane, he curses both wolf girls but he´s helping them anyway.

@svoba4af well i have been a supporter of thestark family, and i actually feel that their sense of honor is something i greatly admire because very few people would go to such a length as they do just not to bring dishonor on one self
And in the beginning i was absolutely in love with everyone in the stark family but now in later years i actually find myself sympathizing like you with Jaime and i really think he is on a way of redeeming himself, and ofcourse i still love Jon i mean who doesn’t?
@TheVasilcin Well, as many of the readers I felt in love with the Starks at the start. They´re still my favorite house although I found out that their sense of honor and justice is soooo impractical and they´re unable to deal with the complex schemes around them. I have feelings for the Martells and the Tyrells too. It´s not easy to say who´s the character I like the most as they all do/did stupid wrong choices or act(ed) like dicks. Maybe it´s Arya, Jaime and Jon… sometimes. What about you?
