Actually Qix was an arcade game from the late 80′s; we had a version on the old Atari 5200 system. The GameBoy version was a port of those original versions.
@ILoveKubake Maybe there’ll be a surprise in that direction sometime in a near future…
Force, pro tip for you from my time with Qix on NES (beat every level). You can build ‘scaffolding’ by drawing a slim rectangle that reconnects to the same wall you leave. You can do this with tiny rectangles (for later in the game when you literally only have seconds worth of time to leave a wall) or you can do longer stretches like you do here.
You can use this tactic to make a pit and wait until a particularly troublesome enemy is within to bridge the small gap the makes the whole space pop.
@FravasTheBard
Qix was released as an arcade game before that in 1981. I remember playing it on NES back in the day! Great game!
@DragonflyLessThan3 yes I liked dos games as well when I was a kid, but I don’t remember how much I did with that game!
@GoldenAxe8 I have played it a lot as a kid : ) Back in those days we only had a few DOS games on floppy disk, and one of them was Volfied! It was fun – but at level 8 (or something like that) the big spider would always walk out of the screen!! Literally! Which made the computer crash. So I never got beyond that level ^_^”
@DragonflyLessThan3 yes yes yes

how did you remember???
@GoldenAxe8 Volfied?
I played such game in the 90′s, don’t remember the name in English, but the point was the same, close the area with a line!
so nothing new here…
I played that game on my old samsung c100, but where was a hamster
Crazy ass beat, good for a little dance right before you watch some demo gameplay @ 00:05
@Ironfistedpriest my thoughts exactly, that game got pretty epid in further levels too, more balls higher % room covered needed. Crazy fun. I kicked some serious butt in that game. Played it so much as a little kid before more indepth games came to the PC. We’re talking Windows 3.1, hehe.
This game (Qix) is 30 years old by now, and there should be tons of freeware versions available for virtually any platform.
stick to sc2 please !!!! you suck at this LOOOLZ im so funny….keep it up man
I used to play something like this in school (12+ years ago) where you had a grey rectangle and balls bouncing around inside it which increased in number and speed each level. Same principle tho.
i’ve seen this game before… jezzball. literally the exact same thing except they added more to it.
Force should do SPAZ, and get addicted like everyone else c”,
@dendraver Xonix indeed!
I think I played this game years ago.
XONIX!
where’s diablo cast?
i remember playing that game so much through highschool
This has IDENTICAL game-play to an original Gameboy game called Qix that came out in the 90′s.
this game is remake of an ancient classic and yes i love it lol
What were you trying to do there?
