wow,i like top down shooting game very muck. these video makes me want to own a SEGA saturn,i never had a chancee to have one when i was a child. where can i buy that anyway.
The last of the Toaplan shmups which lead to offshoot developers that created some of the best shmups yet. A real piece of history and an awesome game as well.
You have great taste in shmups Mark! By the way turn your TV over and set the screen to Arcade in the options menu. It plays even better on full screen and I have a video to prove it
This game is a perfect example of what the Saturn could do. Amazing looking shoot-em up from the 90′s. I don’t know how many hours I logged playing this game and Truxton!! I got triple my money’s worth on these two titles alone.
@VisceriousZERO He did review DonPachi. And by reviewing Toaplan titles he sort of is because many of Cave’s geniuses came from the incredible Toaplan Co. from back in the day.

Actually you do have to worry about a couple of things. There are spots that release a pig that makes your score sour when you are near it but you must do a SF2 style move on the pad to activate it.
The one thing I’ve noticed about all bullet hell shooters is.
The harder the name is to pronounce, the harder the game will be.
Ok. I can’t stand it anymore. Please do a review of Super Metroid. I’ve mentioned it many times as I’m sure others have. I know you have it because I saw it in an episode once.
I realize it’s an epic game. I just want people who have somehow never played it (even Metroid fans or platforming fans I know have never played it).

yeah. Those two guys must be loaded. Not many people would give away their Saturn collection. But hey, it gives Mark fodder for more awesome reviews.

Thanks for the review! Been on the fence for this shmup awhile now due to its price and with so many other import saturn shmups in my collection, but will definitely pick this one up soon. Love the old school gameplay, graphics and music.
