Borderlands was completely ruined for me when they made it cell shaded, the game was so linear and boring, before the cell shading the game looked so much funner and in depth. Man what this game could’ve been

And RPGs aren’t stale? Some asshole tells you to do something. You do it. Usually the deed involves wandering around like an asshole collecting shit, or using a shitty combat system that’s either turn-based (which requires no motor skills), that shitty system where you select a weapon and just hold the button down on the enemy (again, no motor skills) or full on hack’n'slash (which requires motor RESILIENCE but not skills).Done. Everything can be oversimplified to sound bad, kid.

I know, and that’s great…. But I came here for a 5 minute vid about borderlands 2, not a 3 minute one with some hawking of a well tested and stagnant fantasy IP. They could have said “brought to you by magic the gathering” and left it at that. Maybe even stretch it to 10-20 seconds. But a whole two minutes? Almost half of the video?

I wouldn’t say any genre that’s infamous for making you do the same thing over and over again in the same spot just to boost a few numbers, and are generally geared towards those with little to no motor skills the best game genre.
