@ehook all i remember hearing about was persistent loot, similar to the way Diablo 3 is going to work. I’m not sure i remember hearing that everyone would always get the exact same loot items (5 copper, a rat tooth and a bow tie), just that everyone would have their own “instance” of the loot that no one else could see, pick up or do need/greed rolls for.
@kebabkevinaco I’m using Chrome XD
There’s no specific loot to the dungeons. Everyone in the party gets the same thing, points with which you can go buy gear from vendors. There may be some treasures, but from what I’ve gathered from all the GW2 interviews, there’s not going to be some epic drops like on other MMOs. And if there is, everyone will get the same items. But there’s no dungeon-specific loot.. Every dungeon can drop the same items. This means some people might go grind the “easiest” dungeon over and over for those pts.
Choices you made for your character are not affecting the Dungeons though.
It’s not your story, it’s the story of the Guild DESTINY’S EDGE.
Personal Story is also instanced btw.
Scaling means, it’s set at a certain level, and if you go back with 20lvl higher, you’ll be scaled down to that level in order for it to still be a challange.
Seriously – just check out a panel of ANEt, they adress all of those things “your not sure of”

Make sure you get a good script with it
OMG I FUCKING HATE COMMERCIALS
HAWT DAMN! I’ve seen a lot of GW2 Vids, and a lot of the footage your showing, I’VE NEVER SEEN! OMG very kewl!
@1:24 I thought it was the dudes face! O_O scared the crap outta me.
Point of clarification, just like eotn, you must complete a dungoun in story mode before it is unlocked in exploring.
Where did you exactly find the information that the story mode is based on your personal choices. From what I understand, the dungeon story mode is the story of Destiny’s Edge.
@TheRealOmertal Indeed.. x)
@LetoZeth Get adblock
@Smileyboot Interviews, blog posts and their website.
I can recommend looking for the Official ANet Channel and Guildwars2live. They have many videos from panels and stuff. Hour long talk, just let it run in the backround and listen to it while doing laundry or something
@Smileyboot From ArenaNET in one of thier loot posts.
really.. 2 fucking commercials per clip? really youtube, REALLY?!? Fucking RETARDED.
@Zeppelinschaffner22 where did u get that info?
I’m too hype for this games release.
Loot is not determined by Bosses or anything like that.
You get Karma points, which you can cash in for everything.
yes it,s pvp i think
will there be duels player vs player?
I’m having problem rapping my head around all this.. its pure awesomeness! everything is so revolutionary.
@MrMustacho yes I mean Destiny’s Edge haha thanks. I had to rush to go to class so I kind of just rambled on with my words… Glad it made sense to you though!
@MikeiscoolX
divinity’s edge? you mean Destiny’s Edge.
Divinity’s Reach is the human capital
@the video
as mike said dungeons’ stories are separate from your personal story and will play out generally the same for everyone (there are different paths within a dungeon but the objective is the same)
explorable mode will be in the same area with one of +- 3 unrelated stories and new bosses
within each of these stories there are also events similar to the basic dynamic events (quests) going on
no. story mode in dungeons will be you and your group of friends trying to get divinity’s edge back together. last time i checked it had nothing to do with your personal story, but just you trying to get them back together. and the explorable modes take place after the story mode, so what you did in story mode will still have been done in explorable mode (i.e. destroying a bridge in story mode, the bridge will still be destroyed in explorable mode.)there are random events in explorable mode.
“Scaleable content” in dungeons is supposed to be referenced to the fact the level of your character becomes irrelevant to the level of the dungeon, the dungeon can scale to your level to always present a fun challenge. Dungeons are totally completable with 3 players, perhaps even 2 players, but the enemies you find in dungeons are tuned to be competitive for 5 players. Too few players means more responsibilities lie on fewer players.
